UNDER SLAB APPLICATIONS

SlabShield insulation was designed specifically for use under concrete slabs. This product gives you a vapor barrier and significant thermal performance in one user friendly product. It has a layer of close cell polyethylene foam applied to both sides of our 97% pure aluminum. The closed cell foam is a vapor barrier and protects the foil from the chemical reaction that would occur with uncured concrete. Currently the SlabShield product line consist of 2 thicknesses 3/8 and 1/2 respectively and also comes with a tab feature upon request. 3/8" rolls are 4 x 100 and 1/2" rolls are 4' X 63'. We designed the thinner version of SlabShield for use in lightweight concrete applications.

All you need to apply SlabShield is a razor knife and tape (Tape is necessary for a complete vapor barrier to be achieved). Simply roll the product to the desired length and cut. Compare . Another difference between SlabShield and the foam boards is its ability to mold itself to the contours of your grade. SlabShield is flexible enough to adjust to the high and low areas helping to create a stronger finished concrete pour. SlabShield also does not crack or crumble when faced with the normal abuses the job site throws at it.
